3,200 HA |
A highly developed agricultural farm with exceptional water resources and multiple established income streams, combining large-scale irrigation potential, pecan and fodder production, cattle farming and tourism infrastructure.
WATER & IRRIGATION
Nine boreholes at the main homestead have a combined stated yield of approximately 162 m3/h, with individual yields of up to 40 m3/h. The system is automated to maintain reservoir levels.
Approximately 50 ha of game-proof fenced irrigation land is developed, incorporating movable 7.5 ha and 2.5 ha centre pivots.
PECAN & FODDER PRODUCTION
Approximately 1,400 established pecan trees comprise Wichita (50%), Choctaw (30%) and Navaho (20%) varieties.
Lucerne is established between the trees, with a mini-wobbler irrigation system and soil-moisture probe. Additional irrigation land has been cleared for grass production.
CATTLE FARMING
The farm has a stated carrying capacity of approximately 1 LSU per 10 ha, with 16 camps and five cattle posts, supported by reservoirs, windmills, electric borehole pumps and cattle-management corridors.
Approximately 28 ha is planted with Blue Buffalo grass, with 187 ha cleared and a further 22 ha partially cleared for grass cutting.
POWER & INFRASTRUCTURE
Both homesteads are connected to a private SWER power line, complemented by a 30 kW grid-feeding solar system with 120 panels and six inverters.
Infrastructure includes a 21 m × 12 m shed, large workshop, extensive storage, computerised irrigation pump house with 2 × 9.2 kW pumps, meat-processing facility with cold room, feedlot and cattle-working facilities, microlight hangar and staff accommodation.
HOMESTEADS & TOURISM
The main homestead offers four bedrooms, two bathrooms, an office, spacious living areas, kitchen with separate scullery and a large veranda with built-in braai, surrounded by an established irrigated garden.
Two en-suite guest cottages and a swimming pool add tourism potential.
The second homestead offers three en-suite bedrooms, an open-plan kitchen and living area, office, large veranda and its own 13 m3/h borehole.
As part of a smooth transition, the current owner is willing to assist the purchaser with the handover and operation of the farm for an agreed period after transfer.
As part of our professional process, proof of funds or financing approval will be required prior to arranging a viewing.
